SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP.

ALL HE WANTED WAS A NORMAL LIFE….

Battle scarred, weary and haunted, he just wanted a quiet life with a normal routine where there were no missions, no life and death situations, and a peaceful simplicity that might actually banish the nightmare that had been plaguing him for over three years. What he’d wanted most was just to find a way to heal.

Five minutes into his new job and Jason Kellerman was guessing he’d made a serious mistake in his choice of new occupations. If the fact that he had a gun pointed at his pretty, new boss wasn’t indication enough to prove that point, the large man standing behind him pointing a shotgun at his head, was.

Widowed, raising three beautiful, intelligent and gifted daughters on her own, she just wanted to keep her land and give her children the best possible life she could offer, but someone had other ideas and was as determined to run her off as she was to stay. In order to stand her ground she knew she needed help and thought she’d hired just the right man for the job. Now she wasn’t so sure.

Marnie Perkins dug her nails into the palms of her hands. No matter what happened, she would not move, would not show fear. She let out a careful breath, praying she hadn’t made the worst decision of her life. “If you shoot me…you’re fired.”

If they both survived the next few minutes, they each just might be the answer the other was looking for.

Jason snorted out a laugh and took aim. “More than likely...” Not that that would matter any, Jason thought grimly, if the guy behind him shot as well. Dead men didn’t need to worry about employment. Unable to see a reasonable solution out of the situation at hand, Jason cleared his mind and eyed his target. One shot was all he was going to get. Marnie swallowed hard and closed her eyes as he leveled the gun. He had to give her credit, Jason thought, she hadn’t moved a muscle. He nodded, “Now Marnie,” Jason said softly, then pulled the trigger.

RUN

HIRING THE RIGHT MAN FOR THE JOB IS CRUCIAL IN ALL SITUATIONS.

HE WAS HIRED TO PROTECT HER….

She didn’t know what he was. But he was a determined man and nothing she did to him would deter him from his job or his goal. She had to trust him with her life. He wanted her to trust him with her heart as well.

Ryan Preston was the best in his field and it was his job to keep her alive, at all costs. But a well placed knee to the groin and Ryan was down. Rolling onto his side with a moan, he figured his assignment might very well be over before it had even begun.

No one knew who she was. After fourteen years of living in protective custody, she trusted no one. Especially some overly handsome, smooth talking man with killer green eyes. She would trust no one with her life, or her heart.

After punching him, kneeing him in the groin, and pouring hot coffee on him, the man just would not give up! Beth Simms had drawn the preverbal line in the sand, yet Ryan crossed it with a grin. She had secrets of her own and something bigger at stake than falling in love. Staying alive.

But he also knew her secrets, and he was here to finish the job he’d started all those years ago.

In order to win Beth’s trust, and keep her alive, Ryan had to admit that he knew who she really was, reveal his own secrets and risk losing everything he had ever wanted in the process. Her.

Beth thought there was something very perverse about Ryan’s personality that made him keep coming back for more, no matter how much damage she inflicted on him. When he finally reveled to her the truth about his feelings and who he really was, she had only one thought…. run for her life!

REDEMPTION

TWO MEN HAD TRACKED HER TO THE MOUNTAINS OF MONTANA.

ONE WANTED HER LOVE….

He was the only one who could protect her. He needed her. He wanted her. He loved her. He would get her back. Whether she believed him or not.

Houston homicide cop, Lt. Grant Fletcher had thought his partner had meant it, figuratively, when he told Grant he would be taking his life in his hands, by tracking down the psychic who used to work for their department, for assistance on a case. However; standing with his hands raised high in the air staring down the barrel of a Winchester, Grant was thinking his partner had probably been right.

She didn’t want his protection. She denied she needed him. She denied she still loved him. She denied she wanted him back. And they both knew she was lying.

Rita Carlson tightened her grip on the rifle. Oh, there was no doubt she wanted to pull the trigger, her finger itched to do just that. How could this man, the one who had humiliated her, betrayed her and broke her heart, have the nerve to be standing in her front yard? Five years had not been nearly long enough for her to get over what he had done.

With a killer stalking Rita using her own psychic abilities against her, can Grant convince the only woman he has ever loved to trust and believe in him again, before it was too late?

When Grant’s mouth formed that little half grin that both melted her heart and infuriated her so; Rita did the only thing she could...She took aim… and fired…
